Article Marketing - A Brief Scenario

To begin with, Article Marketing has increasingly assumed a lot of importance as an effective and indispensable SEO (Search Engine Optimization) strategy. Seasoned Search Engine Optimizers are recommending as well as practicing this strategy extensively in order to promote the business interests of their clients. And they are not doing it as a matter of beating the line. They are actually creatively promoting their clients website, bringing in potential business and consequent optimized turnover.

Seriously speaking, the web marketers face a dare devil job of promoting a website out of a flood of other websites promoting identical products and services. The direct fall out of anonymity of a website is the flat defeat of its purpose, which is to make profit. The web presence of any website is largely determined by how the website fares in the SERPs (Search Engine Rank Pages) at Google, Yahoo, MSN and other search engines. The fact or rather the objective, in turn, emphasizes on quantity of quality inbound links to the website in question. And Article Marketing presents itself as a competent answer.

In Article Marketing, a website submits informative articles that revolve around the basic subject or business of the website. The articles contain a resource box which contains a short bio of the website and a link to the website. As the websites to which the articles are submitted, are basically established forums, blogs and e-magazines, they have their own faithful following of readers. Further, Google and other search engines search out these web articles for their informational value and closely matching keywords. These articles hit many birds in the bush with a single stone.

Article Marketing helps build up brand equity for the website, which is a domino effect of link popularity and high esteem enjoyed by the website as an expert. The articles serve as confidence building measures that reinforce the creditability and utility of the website in the minds of its customers and prospects. With strengthened publicity, the website gradually becomes a name to reckon with in the business sphere.

Whats more, Article Marketing is incredibly economical in nature and has the least toll on the marketing budget of any website. To undertake article marketing, all the site needs to do is write quality articles on subjects relevant to the business of the website and submit these articles to maximum of web based forums, blogs and ezines. These websites are always seeking informative articles free of cost. Some of them may charge a nominal amount to further the articles to other forums/ blogs/ e-zines.

Article Marketing also saves the website from some major ordeals that are otherwise required by regular sales and marketing strategies. No website enjoys making cold calls or face-to-face sales appointments to sell their products and services. Article marketing comfortably rescues the websites from indulging into these hard-to-do marketing stunts, as well as, saves financial resources in the process.

As the option of article marketing is open to all, the quality of articles finally dictates the value of the articles and the magnitude of exposure. So, it is important to pay attention to the quality of content submitted through these articles. With consistency in quality of content, the website is able to establish itself as an expert author. This in itself translates the website getting maximum readers and that too instantly upon posting. Moreover, the overall reputation as an expert author adds prestige to the websites articles when they are submitted to various blogs, forums and ezines.

Promoting Yourself on the Traffic Exchange

The traffic exchange is a relatively new Internet tool which provides website owners with the chance to promote their websites. The way in which a traffic exchange works is that webmasters sign up their websites on traffic exchange websites. Once signed up, the webmaster will view other websites in order to gain credits to use towards having their own website viewed by others in the traffic exchange. This is a great way to have ones website viewed and increase the overall traffic which goes to the website. There are a few tips to keep in mind when promoting yourself on the traffic exchange.

Keep Web pages Simple

It is important that website owners keep their web pages simple in nature. This is vital for a few different reasons. First, by doing so the webmaster is exhibiting a web page which is easy to read. This is crucial as the viewer only has a certain period of time to view the actual page so the webmaster should make it as easy to read as possible.

Avoid Creating Web pages with Flash and Sound

Webmasters who will be promoting their website on a traffic exchange should also try to avoid the use of flash web pages or web pages that have sound with them. This is a wise move as those which have flash or sound modes will take longer to appear than straightforward web pages. Although flash and sound tends to add something extra to a website as a whole, it is not very conducive to a web page on a traffic exchange.

View As Many Other Web pages as Possible

For those website owners who really want to promote themselves on the traffic exchange, viewing as many other websites as possible will help them to do so. With a traffic exchange, individuals gain credits towards having their websites viewed by viewing other websites. This is why it is called an exchange. If one really wants to have their website viewed and promote themselves adequately, they should try to view as many other web pages as possible.

Create Quick Download Pages

Lastly, one who is creating web pages to be viewed on traffic exchanges should create them in such a manner that they download quickly and efficiently for the viewer. Although the download speed will partially be determined by the computer which the viewer has, the webmaster can do their part as well to make the download process a fast and efficient one.

Conclusion

Traffic exchanges are a great way to promote oneself over the Internet which has worked wonders for a large number of individuals. By viewing a good amount of other individuals websites and creating web pages which are simple and efficient, the website owner will be able to promote their website to the best of their ability.

The 7 Figure Code Rant

This is a rant about the 7 figure code product which was just launched amougst all the hype and flood of autoresponder emails most of us "non guru" internet marketers must have recieved from the "gurus" these last couple of days.

Dont get me wrong here, i respect Mike Filsaime and his products greatly. I have a copy of the Butterfly Manuscript and its good stuff. Heres a link to the first chapter if you want to check it out Click here

The 7 Figure Code sounds outstanding and nothing I have come across before. I understand business is business and we are all in it fundementally to make money and to be successful. What im a little dissapointed about is why isn't this product available to those affiliates who could really do with promoting something like this?

At the moment every successful "Guru" and his dog has emailed me with their extra added bonus and little hyped up story and sales pitch!

So by my reckoning by letting those already rich and successful promote this (and probably many other) top notch products it lessens the competition, corners the market and distributes all the cash earned from this to those select favorable few.

And when the hype has died down and the lions share of the MAJOR money has been made for those already with more decimals in their bank balances than the number Google (he he, see what i did there!) those not so fortunate to have a beach house in Malibu can fight over the remaining few who are interested in purchasing this product.

I know this game is a "them" and "us" business, even though "them" do there very best to convince us they care with an arm around the shoulder and an affiliate link in the other hand! (with a freebie insentive of course!)

Listen im not begrudging the success of those who are successful, not at all. I have the upmost respect to anyone who has earned a kings ransom in this business, because its the hardest thing in the world to fire ones self out of the 98 success circle. Kudos to all who do it.

But once in a while it would be a nice to get one of the first bites at the cherry instaed of being left with the bits that stick to the stone.

Well I gotta go.....i have just been emailed as I write this telling me I have missed out on the chance to get the aforementioned 7 figure code, but if i "act now" then maybe i will still be in with a chance...!

....I think ill wait..........!

I promote products as an affiliate and although some of the sales pages are cheesier than a dairy farm, I try and only promote those I think are worth the bandwidth they are hosted on (before anyone jumps on me, I am only human and make mistakes too!) So if anyone who's anyone is reading this....

.......please take one eye off your paypal account and listen :-)

Those who are not legends in their own lunch time have feeligs too!!!

Affiliate Marketing Campaign

Some business owners opt to start an affiliate marketing campaign as part of their overall marketing strategy. In most cases the affiliate marketing campaign is only a small portion of the overall marketing strategy but there are some business owners who opt to rely exclusively on this type of marketing. The main purpose of doing this is to save money while still achieving valuable advertising. However, once a business becomes more successful they should consider being more proactive and combining affiliate marketing with other types of Internet marketing such as placing banner ads and orchestrating an email marketing campaign. This article will take a look at what affiliate marketing is and will provide insight into why this is popular and how it can be used effectively.

An affiliate marketing campaign is essentially a situation where other website owners place ads for your business on their websites. These website owners are known as affiliates. It is important to understand how this type of marketing works. In general the affiliates are given code for your banner ad to place on their website and given the freedom to promote their own website as they see fit. In promoting their website they are also attracting attention to your website because of the banner ad directing visitors to your own website.

One of the most appealing elements of affiliate marketing is the affiliate is only compensated when he produces a desired result. This means the business owner is not obligated to pay the affiliate unless the affiliate is successful. Success may be defined as generating traffic to the website, resulting in a sale or even resulting in the Internet user registering on your website or filling out a survey. The compensation for affiliates is generally based on cost per click, cost per lead or cost per sale. Cost per click and cost per lead are usually paid in terms of a flat fee which is awarded to the affiliate each time an Internet user either simply clicks through the banner ad on his website or performs a specific action after clicking through the ad. Cost per sale may result in the affiliate being awarded a flat fee or a percentage of the sale depending on the agreement between the business owner and the affiliate.

The most effective use of affiliate marketing is to actively seek out affiliates with a proven track record of promoting the businesses which they support. Most affiliate programs are open to anyone with a website and it is not necessarily damaging to allow those who are not particularly knowledgeable about marketing to run your banner ad but it is far more worthwhile to seek out affiliates who are quite adept and generating website traffic to their own website. This is important because the more visitors they receive each month the more likely your website it to receive interest from visitors who click on the affiliates banner ad.

Another aspect of affiliate marketing which can contribute to success or failure is the design of your banner ads. It is important to remember affiliate marketing is viewed the same way other types of marketing are viewed and care should be taken to create banner ads which will be appealing to your target audience. This means everything from the colors of your ad to the size and style of the font should be carefully considered to create an appealing advertisement.

Blog Hosts: A Short Tutorial

Apart from the chat rooms, instant messengers and electronic mails created for communication and dialogue beyond turf are the emerging innovations that help man build opportunities for interaction. The need for a personalized and human face aspect of building online communities is slowly changing the technological landscape of the Internet.

Blogs / weblogs or blogging are the newest gift of Internet technology to people all over the world. These are updated posts, crop up entries or personalized life snippets, of mundane or bizarre in nature. For most, a blog is a personal, unedited, and authentic journal meant to be shared in an online community. Blog site is a place where bloggers can publish anything; his thoughts, feelings, photos, special events, experiences, comments on issues and so on. It is more of an online diary with videos, links, documents, newsletters and opinions on just about any topics you are interested.

Blogs are made to welcome the insights and opinions of all and therefore, should not be written to sound intimidating and too formal. This kind of blog is a sure way to put off the readers. In the basics of blogging, conversational tone would be more appropriate to reach the desired audience.

Blogging is all about individuals reaching out to other individuals. Having a blog has its own set of advantages:

* Freedom of Expression. If you want people to hear you out and give their own opinion, this is the best way to create a line of communication;

* Networking is at its best. Having a blog is a good platform for exchanging genuine ideas from consumers to you as marketer of a certain product. Sound opinion and point of view is better than just showing the price quote;

* Excellent advertising platform. Blogging is a new way to advertise products, a refreshing change from the traditional advertising outlets and it is cost-effective.

* Gauging public opinion on products and services. The key is nice and catchy titles with new ideas presented in your content. This is an assurance of quick and repeated responses from your readers. Blogs is an excellent spot for the exchange of ideas between the seller and the consumer. Good for measuring public opinion regarding services and products, even political and business matters alike.

* Useful tool for internal communication. This will help your company to build a knowledge-based community of employees. Also good for harnessing employee relations and identifying human resource issues in advance.

* Other benefits like search engine optimization (SEO) will help your blogs to be seen often by as many people as you wish. This is very good exposure for your products and services.

Many blog hosting services are available on the Internet. But the basic question is which one of the services will be the best to start off your business blog program? Business people are usually clueless to recent technological innovations which would help them maximize their marketing potentials. For these beginners, it is best to study first the services offered by blog hosts. An ineffective business blogging program may damage marketing opportunities instead of enriching them.

A company may decide to do the following depending on its capacity and needs: 1) Host their own blog service, 2) Pay someone else to host the service, or 3) Setup a blog aggregator page and ask the employees to select their blog hosting services individually. There are paid and free services available for individuals.

For business blogs, they are required to have the latest blogging features; if not, this will prevent them from maximizing their marketing, public relations and SEO potentials.

Keep in mind that blogs should have the following basic essentials:

COMMENTS. Welcoming comments provide opportunity for dialogue. In business blogs, they are a good customer feedback mechanism. This helps develop better customer relations based from loyalty and trust. Blogging is an innovative way to converse with your customers.

TRACKBACK. This helps in maximizing company and product exposure. Through this service, consumers can get back to you for more posts and updates without the difficulty of locating you. If your blog is popular in a specific online community chances are links going back to your blog site are everywhere online, other blog sites or even websites.

CATEGORIES AND TAGS. These both help in classifying blog searches for ease of navigation and on site search. Categories act as libraries because it classifies posts by subject matter such as business, distance learning, e-commerce, online auctions, etc. Tags, help in the classification, especially in the blog search engine Technorati. Possible customers and new clients locate blogs about certain topics of interest by just clicking the tags.

RSS FEED. Really Simple Syndication is the feed from your blog that is sent out over the internet, and collected through the various newsreaders and aggregators.

If your company is to establish a business blogging program, considerable options should be made available by the hosting companies shortlisted for the services. Free blog hosting services are popular but they are much appropriate for individual online journals. Paid blog hosting services offer unlimited packages best for your companys needs. You may want to suggest checking out some blogs that use the host first, read and examine their layout and design. Another important thing to consider is a reliable technical support the host has.

After, choosing the blog host, a team should be ready to plan the design and structure of the blog: The team should:

* create a style that meets the needs of the audience;

* establish an open, credible tone;

* schedule weekly updating of blog - ideally, a few times a week;

* include weblinks of other website and blogs;

* blog post should be in the first person;

* focus on the business blog objective; and,
maintain an honest, engaging conversational quality.

Remember, whatever the look, style and content found on your blog is a reflection of you and your company.

From Educator To Working At Home - and Making Money!

My name is Ron and Im 52 years old. I taught high school math and coached basketball for 27 years and enjoyed many successes and personal satisfying moments. I left that part of education 3 years ago and am now the athletic director at our school.

Coaching allowed me to meet many of the most successful coaches in college basketball history and attend their clinics and even work at their summer camps. The educator in me has always wanted to know what makes successful people - successful. Ive accumulated ideas from hundreds of biographies and autobiographies of successful people in all areas of life. Ive tried to incorporate those into my teaching and coaching to help prepare young people for life. It didnt make me a lot of money, but it was very rewarding. Someday Id like to develop a website for success ideas/stories/inspirations of all the material Ive collected over the years. But thats for another time right now.

I spent many years in that career I loved, but unfortunately didnt profit from huge salaries. Ive really learned to love exploring on the computer and as I near retirement I was searching for something that was enjoyable and yet something that could be profitable. Searching the web for these kind of ideas is almost incomprehensible! I have sifted through literally hundreds and thousands of ideas and sometimes it makes my head spin.

However, recently Ive come across an opportunity called The Ultimate Wealth Package. It is a program developed by Mark Warren and is definitely different from all those other head spinners. Mark is very thorough in his explanation and completely lays out exactly what you need to do in order to be successful. He explains that this is not a get rich quickly program, but if you follow his plan you can make some money and enjoy what youre doing at the same time. Im not the most computer savvy person in the world - but this is very easy to follow. I am also not the most liberal person - most of my ex-students and athletes would probably say Im very conservative! However Marks program is one that I felt completely comfortable with am looking forward to making part of my life from here on out. If things could work as well as I may hope - it may even allow me to move my retirement up a few years and allow me to enjoy things Ive only dreamt about.

I dont know if youre situation is anything like mine or not, but it really doesnt matter. I think this is an opportunity that could be good for anyone. I would say proceed carefully (like I did) and compare this to other programs youve researched. I really dont think youll be disappointed.

Ill end with a quick motivational story from a book that is probably my favorite of the hundreds/and even thousands from those Ive read. If you havent read Gary Barnetts book HIGH HOPES - you should do so immediately. He took over an absolute dismal college football program at Northwestern and a few years later had them in the Rose Bowl. He simply said: What they (the players) didnt understand was that at 211 degrees, water is just hot. At 212, one more degree of temperature, water turns to steam, which can create enough energy to move a train through a mountain pass. We were simmering at 211.

Ive always tried to inspire my students and athletes to work hard for that one little extra degree. Then they can watch the fruits of their labor pay off. This is exactly how Im going to approach this program. It has inspired me in much the same way.

I wish you well and hope that you will reach for that one last little degree in whatever it is that you want to be good at!

What To Think About Before You Buy A Humidifier

A humidifier has been shown to not only improve health, but to keep a home and possessions in good condition. Even the Environmental Protection Agency has said that humidifiers can lessen the opportunity for mold or mildew to grow in a space where levels of humidity are higher than they should be. The first thing to do is determine whether you need a humidifier, so test out the air in your home with a hygrometer, an inexpensive instrument that helps monitor the air you breathe.

After that, determine what type of humidifier you will need, whether its warm mist or cool mist. Do your research on what type of humidifier does what; some models both humidify and purify the air, and though theyre more expensive, theyre usually worth it. Compare prices of humidifiers, both cool and warm mist versions, and then make a list of what to do next.

Youll need to decide which room to put the humidifier in, and configure the square feet with the humidifier models details. Youll need a humidifier that will cover more area than the actual room size; models for 700 square feet are usually adequate for a small room or bedroom. However, if you buy one that is too large, condensation will form on the inside of the windows and mold and mildew could develop.

Next, look at the convenience of cleaning your humidifier. Portable units are sold in various sizes of water reservoirs, from a 1-litre to a 5-gallon tank or larger. Many portable units have a two-gallon tank that runs for 1.5 days, but a 1-litre tank will have to be filled more frequently.

The last few things to look at are operation noise level and settings, safety shut off features, benefits of humidifiers with filters, and regular maintenance and warranty information. If the humidifier is for your bedroom, seek out a model with a low or silent option with at least low and high setting levels. Safety shutoff and a built-in humidisat are must have in the way of safety features in case you forget to turn off the humidifier when the water reservoir is empty, while also regulating the humidity level in your home.

A Logo Without Your Name... Can Be A Big Branding Pain!

I often get asked to develop a small business's logo as a symbol-only logo. But for many small businesses, this isn't the right choice for a couple of reasons.

Designing a symbol-only logo is a much more complicated (and often more expensive) process, because the symbol has to:

- Carry a lot more meaning - there's no text to help explain the business. It's important that your logo has some meaning and a role in explaining your business - and that's a lot for a little symbol to do all by itself.

- Be entirely unique all on its' own. I don't need to tell you that there are a whole lot of logos out there. A lot of the basic shapes - and even some of the more complicated ones - are already "owned" by big corporations. But you can still use variations or combinations of those shapes when they're designed into a logo with your company name.

- Communicate to your audience. The more obscure the symbol design that you create, the less likely that your customers will understand its meaning. Or they may interpret it incorrectly. Either way your clients will feel alienated - and that's never good.

If you do create a symbol-only logo, you'll have a couple of challenges with your brand identity:

- It will take a lot more time and effort to educate your target audience about your business. Think of all the symbol-only logos that are really memorable, like Nike or Apple. The reason that those are so memorable and well-known is that each of those companies has a very large advertising budget. They can afford to dedicate people and time to getting the word out. Their deep pockets build visibility and encourage recognition. Small businesses just don't have those kinds of resources.

- Trademark infringement can be more of a problem - from both sides of the fence. It can be very difficult for your designer to design a logo that won't look like any other trademarked logo out there, regardless how hard they try.

1. First of all, it's hard for a designer to comprehensively research all of the other trademarked logos just to see what you're up against. However, the Trademark Office has more thorough tools and methods of researching the other existing logos out there and they might find one that you overlooked.

2. Secondly, logos and trademarks can be a bit subjective. Just because you and your designer think that the design that you've created doesn't infringe on other logos, the Trademark Office might reject your application based on their interpretation of "similarity"

3. And you're not just worrying about what the Trademark Office thinks. Any other business with an existing trademark could also challenge your application. They can even ask you to cease-and-desist using your logo after it has been trademarked if they held their trademark to a similar logo first. While surrendering might not seem like such a bad thing, remember that you'd also have to destroy any existing printed collateral, forfeit your trademark (and the trademarking process isn't cheap!) and redesign all of your materials. You'll also lose the equity and memorability that you will have built up in your logo if you do have to redesign.

If you do finally manage to design and trademark a symbol-only logo, you'll have to be extra-vigilant about making sure that other companies don't design a mark that's similar to yours. You are ultimately responsible for "policing" your own trademark and will have to stay up-to-date on trademark applications.

Alternately, you could hire someone to keep an eye on new trademarks for you but that can be expensive.

You can easily avoid all of these complications by designing a combination logo that includes both a symbol and your company name. Once you've designed your combination logo, you should always use the components together. This helps avoid potential legal issues like those mentioned above.

Institutional Advertising Vs Direct Sales Advertising

In Institutional advertising, company spent a lot of money developing and rolling out advertisement via Mass Media like TV broadcast, Radio, Magazine etc. Typically, institutional ads will not cause an increase in sales at it first launch, but rather will develop a gradual and steady increase in sales over a long period of time.

An example of institutional ads is the typical Coca-Cola advertisement that you see on TV. Institutional ads are intended to develop the brand name, the image, the reputation, the quality and promote a desire for the customer need of the products from the viewers mind. Printed institutional ads tend to be very colorful and are usually placed in magazines by national manufacturers.

Most institutional ads communicate a message entirely centered on the company, the product. An example is as follow: We are a big Multi-National company established in 1813. We have a strong and desirable product that you the consumer will need. The product has went through million of dollars of Research and Development and it is the product for you, the consumer. Please also associate the product with our company name..

The result is often not immediate and it may take generation to generation to imprint the message deep into the masses mind. Take the case of Coca-Cola for example. Coca-Cola the Company has over decades that span across many generations of human races on institutional advertisements to get the message across that Cola is Coke or Coca-Cola. The process takes painfully long time and spent lots of money. This is something that individual or some business owners cannot afford.

In addition, if you pay close attention, you will notice that Institutional Advertising does not take into consideration of the opinion of prospective consumer. The advertisement boost about the company and the product but did not interact personally with the prospective consumer. The Ads did not motivate the prospective consumer to take immediate action as the strategy for Institutional Advertising is more for the long run.

In recent years, there is an increase of Direct Sales Advertising. An example is the Power Raider advertisement. It is a very short advertisement but bring forth a compulsive reaction from the viewers to take action to buy the products. This is what it does.. The ads start by showing a healthy and fit looking guy with a half naked upper half with well defined abdomen working out on a machine, the Power Raider. With an urgency tone, the host goes through a series of the benefits that the viewer can expect to receive if they get the equipment. Then it goes on to promote urgency within the viewer by claiming that there are only a limited copies left. To enhance the sales, the host sells an irresistible offer by lower the price of the product by not two time, not three time but maybe 4 or 5 times. On top of that, it motivated the viewer to take action by giving out bonuses for the first 50 buyers that call in to buy. Finally, the host calls for sales by provide enough information on how the viewers can make the purchase. To remove all fear from the viewers to take action, the host offer a Money back guarantee if they are not satisfy with the products within a certain numbers of days of purchase.

This is what Direct Sales Advertising is all about. It goes for the direct kill to get the customer to pull out his credit card immediately and make the purchase.

This form of advertising is appropriate for Internet Marketing or selling via the Internet as a media.

Why?

The reason is obvious. Just imagine

The prospect is surfing the web for information and happen to bump into your sales page. He is holding a packet of potatoes chip on one hand and a can of Coke on the other hand. He is impatient and will skip or move on to another page if your sales copy does not catches his attention to read on. The art of a good direct Sales advertisement does not just stop here. It motivate the prospect further until he takes out his credit card from his wallet and key into those visa or master card number on the keyboard and click on the submit button to buy.

Some even goes another step further by side selling and up selling the first time customer by making more money through a single transaction. This can be done by promoting a one-time offer to the customer with an irresistible offer that will compel him to take action again before he put back the credit card to his wallet.

I attend the World Internet Summit held in Singapore just last month. Almost all the Internet Marketing Gurus out there on the stage tells the audiences to be focus in order to make a profit from Internet Marketing. Even the famous Marketing gurus Jay Abraham also teaches us to be focus to achieve any success in Internet marketing.

However, I prefer to think that we need to focus on the right things to achieve success on Internet Marketing.

What are the right things in Internet marketing business?

Personally, I believe this are the important focus areas for Internet marketing:

1. Business System.

2. Business Strategies.

3. Business Marketing.

Out of this three focus areas, I strongly believe Business Marketing is the most important aspect of your business.

As Jay Abraham will tell you, Marketing is the key to your success in business, whether it is a online business or an offline business. Give a good product, when market well, will sky rocket the sales. However, given a bad product, when market well; it will also help in getting profits.

In order to tap on to the marketing brain of Jay Abraham, you will need to spend a lot of moneys. This is a quote from Jay Abraham himself Normally, when people want to learn what I know, I charge $5,000 an hour to talk to them privately. Or they pay me $25,000 to attend my five-day long seminars. As his popularity increase over time, the cost of engaging him for consultation will be much much more.

However, all is not doom. You can now easily get access to Jay Abraham marketing material at a low cost of just USD 39.95. I would suggest you check it out as one little marketing idea from Jay Abraham could possibly turn the fortune of your businesses in your favour.

You can access to Jay Abrahams Marketing Income-Building Home Study System at http://tinyurl.com/ya7ux8

. (*warning* I really do not know when Jay Abraham will pull out from this offer )

We should never under-estimate the power Marketing and its strong influence on the dollars and cents to your business cash flow.

Make no mistake about it. With a good marketing technique and strategy, you will definitely bring sells to your business.

One of the key aspects in business marketing for Internet marketing is sales copy writing. It is essential to have they know how for any business man or aspire to be business man to master this skill.

Author of best selling book Rich Dad, Poor Dad Robert Kiyosaki defined marketing as selling through a system. He mentioned the importance of learning how to sell as a prerequisite for every business man. One interesting pointers from him is that his Rich Dad, Poor Dad are the best selling book, not the best written book.

Other than highlighting the importance of learning how to sell in his series of book, Robert also mentioned that importance of building a business system with the right strategies. Internet Marketing: Tips And Advice For Newbies

If you dont start a game youll never win. And this is not about gambling. This is a life principle. You may want to look into number of options and choices throughout your entire life and never pick out the right ones Or you may pick out the wrong options and they might throw you off your path for a long, long while It will take time then to recover and get back to your usual speed. All the same is about your business choices.

Make the right ones from the very beginning and you will get lots of success, no matter how new you are at it.

If you are just thinking about trying yourself out in internet marketing well have some good advice for you. And even if you are an internet marketing pro, our tips may be very helpful for you also.

First of all, for beginners to look out for scam. Never fall for a business opportunity that offers you enormous profit with little or no effort from your side. Always remember: free cheese can be found only in a mousetrap! No work, no money. That is what really works in both off-line and on-line worlds. Before diving into an opportunity headfirst, check if the company provides actual contact information. Try to call their 800 number or send them an e-mail and see how fast they respond and how well they answer your questions. One of the best ways to check out the reliability of a company that offers a home-business opportunity is to run it through Best Business Bureau. Just Google it and see for yourself if it is a good choice.

Second, and one of the most important things that usually you will not hear from business opportunity advertisers is that your start-up process may take a long time. Be prepared to work hard, especially when you are just starting out. If you are not planning to spend a lot of money on advertising in the beginning, or your advertising budget is limited, you will have to work very hard in order to get enough traffic to your web site. There is a lot of secrets and tricks to it. For many people it is very disappointing and often times beginners give up after a month or two. Or even earlier. If you are serious about internet marketing, you should be prepared to write articles, press releases, participate in marketing forums, start your own blog and do a lot of other things that bring free traffic to your web site. We will talk more about some great ways to generate traffic in our following articles.

Third, and probably the most important thing is that you need to do a lot of research on your own and test dozens and maybe hundreds of different things to see which ones work better for your business. Be open for new ideas and choices when it comes to advertising. Use internet but do not forget about other media newspapers, magazines, even TV and radio if your business is really expanding well and is ready to be on local radio or maybe even national TV.

Do not forget to educate yourself constantly. Read articles in free article directories that are related to your business. Participate in forums and dont be shy to post a question you will be surprised how many people will be ready to help you!

Collect your own e-library. Lots of really good e-books are available on-line for free. Every time you get a chance, download them and save in your own e-library. That will help you out a lot and will even get you a chance to start helping others.

Just be focused on what you are doing and you will be able to reach your goals!

Gerrymandering The Google Search Results

Every few months, you will see posts by many people declaring that Google has it in for their website. Often, you see threats about how the webmaster plans to sue Google for hurting their business' profits. On and on it goes... Every webmaster who was dropped from Google's top search result pages wants to believe that Google singled out their website and their business for punishment and extinction.

How The Google Search Results Is Related To Gerrymandering

According to Wikipedia.com, "Gerrymandering is a form of redistricting in which electoral district or constituency boundaries are manipulated for an electoral advantage."

Most states in the US redraw their electoral districts at least every decade. In 36 of the states, the state legislature is responsible for drawing the new districts -- in principle to account for shifts in population -- and the governor is required to approve those changes.

With nearly every redistricting, the party who is out-of-power generally screams foul. The argument is always that the political party in power adjusted the lines to improve their ability to win elections and control the electoral power structure.

The entire process of redistricting is a good analogy for the Google algorithm changes. The people in power (Google) redraw the lines, and the party out-of-power (the webmasters who dropped in ranking) cry foul, threatening lawsuits and other actions.

Something Right And Something Wrong

Of course, the same webmasters screaming about having dropped in Google's search results did not have a problem when Google allowed them to climb in the search results previously.

People only moan about things when they are on the way down. When they were on the way up, they danced on the coffins of their competitors without a care in the world.

The truly funny thing about it is that when people were on their way up in the Google search results, they told all of their friends that "they" did something right. When they are on their way down, "Google" did something wrong.

Shaky Foundations For Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

PROBLEM: If the website dropped out of Google's top 1000 results, then I am willing to bet that in nearly every situation of this type, the webmaster had done something wrong in the last few years, and Google has just now caught on to this infraction.

For example, in years past, link farms were utilized by webmasters and accepted by Google. Then Google began to consider link farms to be "bad neighborhoods."

Link farms are the kind of thing that can be easily recognized by human and search engine alike. So, the link farms were tagged as "bad neighborhoods" and their values were discounted to zero, and the websites linked from link farms got a minus points for their participation in the link farms.

It was a bad practice that the webmaster had participated, and Google finally got around to penalizing the websites whose rankings were supported by these shaky foundations.

SOLUTION: If you try to put yourself into the shoes of the experts at Google, and you wanted to improve the Google search results, what would YOU do? Before you answer this question, remember that you work for Google and not for yourself. What would you do? What would you do different?

"White hat" and "black hat" SEO methods are an analogy of Search Engine Optimization techniques that refers back to the old cowboy classics, where the "good guy" always wore a "white hat" and the 'bad guy" always wore a "black hat".

While you are working for Google, take a look at the SEO technique you are thinking about using for your own website. Chances are that if you deem a SEO technique to be "gray hat" (something in between ethical SEO and unethical SEO), then chances are that someday that technique will be deemed "black hat" by the Google engineers. And if the SEO technique is "black hat," it will likely be targeted for discount by Google at some time in the future.

If you delve into "gray hat" or "black hat" SEO, you may be able to rocket to the top of the Google search results quickly, but you will not be able to hold that position for long. Google will eventually get wise to your gimmick.

If you can "white hat" your website to the top of the search results, your future ranking will likely hold its ground for many years to come.

Your Competition Out-Played You

PROBLEM: If a website dropped a few positions in the Google search results, I am willing to bet that in nearly every situation, one of the website's major competitors out-performed them in the search results.

There are certain things that you can do correctly, to elevate your own listings in the search engine results. Because you have the capability to do these things, your competitors also have the capability to do these things.

Well guess what? Your competitor did what you should have done. They set up marketing systems to ensure that they could climb in the search results, and they climbed enough to pass you by.

SOLUTION: Do those things that you know you should be doing. And more importantly, do them consistently. Your competitor wants your placement in the search results, and they are going to do what it takes for them to get there.

So, it is imperative for you to keep moving forward in the process of building your ranking in the search engines. When you stand still, resting in the comfort zone of where you reside today, then you are bound to be overtaken by someone who wants to be where you are, a little bit more than you do.

Stir That Pot

PROBLEM: If a website dropped a few pages in the search results, the cause for the drop may have been caused by a combination of the two above-mentioned problems: shaky SEO foundations, and hungry competitors.

SOLUTION: Keep your eye on the big picture. You know what you have done to strengthen your website in the past. Keep learning and keep growing.

If you find that something you had done in the past may affect your website negatively in the future, implement "white hat" SEO techniques to strengthen your position, and make plans to eliminate your reliance on "black hat" SEO systems before Google does it for you.

Don't Make The Mess And You Won't Have To Clean It Up

Some may think my approach to housecleaning is an indication of laziness. I consider it to be an indication of good time management. I prefer to reserve my time for things that are more enjoyable.

My theory towards housework -- and I try to teach this to my kids often -- is that if you don't want to clean up the mess, don't make the mess in the first place. If the house is not messy, you don't have to clean it. So, don't make the house messy.

I utilize the same approach to my websites. If I do it "white hat" and above-reproach the first time, then I won't have to go in and fix my rankings everytime Google changes their algorithms.

Stop Standing Still

Do remember that for most every search term you compete to rank for, there are probably another one million web pages competing to rank for the same keyword phrase. Getting to the top of the search engine results is a process, not a destination. You must keep competing to maintain your spot at the top of the search results.

If you want to get to the top of the search results, you will have to take positive steps to get there. And, if you want to maintain your top position in the search engines, you need to keep doing the things that put you in that top spot in the first place.

Internet Marketing Plan: Great Ways To Run Your Business Smoothly And Making It More Profitable

If you are looking for a way to make your businesses run at a much smoother pace and making it more profitable, then an Internet marketing plan is the first step you have to take in order to do all these.

Try to imagine that an Internet marketing plan is a map that will guide your business to success. Without an Internet marketing plan, it would be like going on a road trip without a map, and eventually, you would get lost on your way to your destination. So, starting an online business requires you to have a well thought out plans and strategies. If you start an online business without a marketing plan, it will be the perfect opportunity to fail.

First of all, when you are making your Internet marketing plan, you need to set goals and objectives. Ask yourself where you want your business to go and also ask yourself when you want to achieve that goal. A business without a goal will only let you end up in frustration.

Here are a few things you should do in order to create the perfect or solid Internet marketing plan:

-The first thing you need to do in order to be successful in your businesses, whatever it is, is to design your strategies. When designing your Internet marketing strategy, you need to know who your target customers are. Know who will likely be your strongest customers. To do this, you should examine age groups, educational level, marital status, income level and other things that would make your potential number one customer comfortable in your website.

-After you know who your potential customers will be, you should design your website that will suit their needs. Determine what they like in a website, know what keeps them interested and you should also know what products they would likely buy from you. You also need to know how you can sell your products or services to these people. It is very important on how you and your website communicate with people in order for you to build trust and loyalty from your clients. With these, you will be sure that they will want to come back.

-Of course, an effective online business should also have a strategy on how you want to sell your products and services in your website. You should choose what your targeted client will most likely be comfortable with. It can be a shopping card, a secure server certificate or it can be through major credit cards. It should be something that your targeted customer will be comfortable with.

When you have all these, you can be sure that your clients will be very comfortable with you and what you're selling them. However, you also need a way to advertise your website effectively. Internet marketing has a lot of options in terms of advertising. One of which is through article marketing.

Writing an article that is related to your products and posting them in your website and also other article publishing website will allow you to generate targeted traffic. What targeted traffic means is that you will be attracting people who will be interested in the products or services you are selling.

These are some of the things you can attract potential customers. With these tools, you can really make your business run more smoothly and generate more profit.

Factors That Drive Web 2.0 Marketing

Drive Community Participation

People naturally congregate around common passions or interests. Connecting and interacting with others who feel the same way and who share common experiences creates stronger bonds. Savvy marketers use this level of participation as the foundation of their online communities and as a cornerstone of their loyalty efforts.

Customers who are strongly engaged in a particular community are more likely to remain attached to the group, participate in group activities more often, and recommend the brand community to non-members.

Two Way Communication

A one-way, marketing-driven conversation no longer engages customers. Building trust and earning loyalty is the act of creating a dialogue with customers: talking, discussing, sharing and, above all else, listening.

Marketers have at their fingertips an array of technologies (such as forums, chat rooms, private messaging and live conferencing) to facilitate conversations with their customers. Being able to easily contribute opinions and ideas connects the customer to them, but what strengthens this relationship is when the marketer embraces the customer as a partner in the dialogue, and truly listens to what he/she has to say, and acts on it.

School Weblogs - Why Blogging Benefits Schools - Part 1 of 2

Weblogs or blogs as they are known are here to stay. They will evolve as time goes on but communicating online via blogs whether through text, video or podcast audio, is something that is going to be a part of the internet for some time. Schools today can benefit greatly by providing their students with a school-sponsored weblog as a means to communicate with their teachers and other students in their school. In the same way that many blogs have virtual communities formed around them, schools can create and foster a community environment that provides a beneficial learning environment for kids today rather than just a place they have to go everyday.

School Policies & Contact Information

In the news today we see many schools enacting policies and practices to help them run better and provide a positive learning environment for all children. One area for example has to do with what is or is not acceptable in regards to the clothing allowed at the school. Schools that use a weblog would be able to have all their policies listed in one easily accessible location for parents to review. Regarding a school dress code policy, the school would be able to post actual images of the type of clothing that is not allowed on campus so parents would be able to have a clear idea of what clothing is acceptable when they go to school. Other policies such as grade requirements for playing sports or participating in school sponsored clubs as well as the school disciplinary policies for things such as fighting, bullying, being late or failing to complete homework assignments can also be posted on the school weblog. Contact information can also be provided for parents with questions or concerns regarding a policy.

School Events and Sports

Schools utilizing a blog can use it as a way to boost school spirit and participation by placing video clips of sporting events such as basketball, football or soccer games, track and field events. Other events such as science fairs, dance recitals, awards and more all can be promoted on the weblog as well. Through promoting the school clubs and teams this way other students can find out what is going on in the school as well. Promoting the school activities like this is also a great way to attract perspective students and their parents who have recently moved or are going to move into the area.

Additional Class Instruction

School weblogs can be a great place and informational resource where students can go for additional help with their school assignments. Many times teachers do not have enough time to devote to each student to answer each and every question. Through a blog setup by the school, teachers can post amplifying information on topics that they cover in class, further explanations, and more examples - things that they do not have time to cover in class. Students can then look over this additional information to help them when they are working on their homework. Every person learns differently, and by explaining information in different forms, either with diagrams, words, or other means the idea can be conveyed so that the student can grasp it.

The school blog can also provide links to other valuable educational resources that can be used. Teachers that find a good informative video to watch, website to read or podcast to listen to that covers a topic can place a link on the blog page and students can then access the information to assist them in their assignments.

Utilizing a chat room feature, schools using weblogs would provide a way for students and teachers to discuss problems that come up when working on homework assignments. Some students have anxiety over asking questions in class, so by providing a way that they can ask teachers questions outside of the class can help them overcome problems they may be having. An online chat feature would also be a way that students can form study groups to work on assignments.

While the use of weblogs in school can provide students with a valuable educational resource they can also provide them with other information to help them with the day to day problems they may face. Read Part 2 for more on how weblogs can provide valuable resources for students, teachers and parents as well as some of the privacy and security concerns that will arise.

How To Set Up A Totally Free Direct Mail Program For Your Mortgage Business

How to Set Up a Totally Free Direct Mail Program for Your Mortgage Business

Glad to see that this article caught your attention. You're going to love this amazing little direct mail mortgage marketing strategy.

This super simple idea will actually allow you to mail 500 or 1,000 or 10,000 or even more...postcards and/or fliers each week for free...all of this without you having to pay one single cent for postage. In fact, this idea is so profitable, that a number of mortgage professionals notified me that they replicated the idea multiple times and created their own lucrative direct mail companies outside of their mortgage businesses. Now that's powerful!

Forgive me for jumping ahead here. Let's start back at the very beginning and explore the details of this idea.

The most expensive part of a direct mail campaign is your postage. For that reason alone, you may not currently be using direct mail in your mortgage business. Your next most expensive item will be your list. The postcard might cost you a few cents apiece to print depending on your quantity. So that's almost nothing.

What all of this boils down to is that it's pretty tough to get a mailing out these days for less than 55 cents each or maybe 65 cents apiece. So that makes direct mail pretty darn pricey. So here's what you do to avoid paying postage, list rental, printing, and even make a profit using this idea.

First, you find out how many people live in your marketing area. What you want is the number of residences in your area. The post office will show you how to do a "Dear Resident" mailing. The post office will deliver your "Dear Resident" postcard very cheap if you are trying to hit every household in a certain zip code or set of zip codes.

If you'd like to personalize the carrier envelope, just look under the Yellow Pages under the category labeled "Mailing Lists," and you'll find a list of local companies that can help you. However, personalization is not a requirement. In fact, most loan officers that use direct mail address their offers to "Dear Resident." You'll also find this reduces costs substantially.

Second, let's say you find out that there are some 12,275 residences in the targeted area you want to reach. What you now do is approach other businesses that would also be interested in reaching these same people with a postcard advertisement. Ask these businesses if they would like to spend, say, 20 or 25 cents instead of 55 or 65 cents to reach a potential customer in their target market.

As a reminder, only approach businesses with this idea that are not competing with you and your mortgage business. There are tons of businesses willing to participate and a good letter promoting the concept will keep your waiting list constantly filled.

All of this sounds pretty simple, doesn't it?

Well, it is. In fact, the odds are good you already receive a mailing like this. There are a number of companies out there that will provide this service for you at a cost. They are called "card deck mailings." Just type "card deck mailing" into Google, and you'll see all kinds of companies come up in the listing that will do your card deck mailing for you. Better yet, when you receive your next mailing...call and check out their pricing. Your card will be ganged in with all the other merchants.

But here's the simple truth. You can save a lot of money my doing these mailings yourself. They are really very easy to do. There is something to be said for that old adage "If you want it done right, do you it yourself." You'll have total control of the process. And especially total control of who is getting your mailing. Very often, the "card deck" mailing companies hit to big a geographical area and include too many folks outside your marketing area. So, do it yourself so you can be certain you're only paying to reach those people you want to reach.

Also, you can gang together more than just postcards in an envelope. You can also gang fliers, letters and other advertising materials. Although I have seen some "card deck" mailings arrive in clear shrink wrap, plain old envelopes work just great.

But whether you do it yourself, or use a company that specializes in card deck mailings, this is a very cost effective way to advertise your business in your local marketing area.

But there is one key you need to be mindful of to make this kind of a mailing work for you. You need to make sure your mortgage message stands out from the other messages in your mailing package. Again, don't offer this opportunity to your competitors...only to those businesses that want to reach the same people in your marketing area.

Here's a great opportunity to actually make money in two businesses.

You'll make money in your mortgage business by promoting your company via your mailing...that is, with your own postcard or flier. And, you can make lots of money selling your direct mail program to your co-op mailing partners. Just mark-up the cost. A 15% mark-up or so to compensate you for your work and initiative is certainly reasonable, and you'll still be under pricing the big national "card deck" mailing services. When you get all your prices together, you may find that you can demand an even larger mark-up.

Start mailing your co-op mailings once a month, and then increase the frequency as you get your systems and procedures in place. I'm sure you can see that there is some great money to be made doing this. If you've got some guts and ambition, you can work this system to a point where you are mailing countless card decks and other co-op mailings per week with very little if any cash outlay. Your co-op mailing partners are funding the entire process and even paying in advance for the privilege of working with you.

I'll let you do the math here on what you could make with this idea if you just mark-up the cost a minimum of 15% to your co-op mailing partners. You may need to consider a part-time assistant early on to make this work for you. Of course, nothing will work if you don't work the plan. To get this system up and running will take a little initiative and some oomph on your part.

At the very least, use this little trick to conduct direct mail marketing campaigns for your mortgage business at no cost to you. It's not at all hard to find six or eight or ten or more businesses that will be more than happy to sign-up for the program and participate with you.

This is a great idea...drop me an email or give me a call...I would love to hear of your success with this program.

Why Markservice Is The Best Concept Of Grounds Management On The Swedish Landscaping Market

Why settle for Half & Half when you can have the full Monty ?

Adding a sip of whipped milk into your coffee automatically transforms it into a tasty and exclusive Cafe Latte, a really value-added thing to do nowadays if you are in the Coffe-Shop business.

However, adding a bit of price-beaten landscaping or low-balling lawncare into the huge pot of facility services, doesnt automatically transform a cleaning company into a dedicated Outdoor-Professional! The Know-How of the real Landscaping Industry and the Hearts of the Green Professionals give the customers something more than just mere management. Something to do with dedicated leadership, true committment and specialized organizations that have nothing what-so-ever to do with dry-cleaning, catering or housemaids!

It is often righteous said in this business that the best ideas to increase productivity and strengthen the competitive capability comes from the working men and women out in the field, or from their co-working foremen. This is indeed very true today when we are struggling in an ever more competitive market with hundreds or thousands of new service-firms wanting to take a share of the market and offers a wide mix of services to a wide range of customers.

But are they really capable of handling all these different services with the same competence, attention and long-term commitment as the Landscapers themselves?

Is it not so, that landscaping and grounds maintenance plays a subordinate role in their big structures and when it comes to management it is more a question of facility management in general than it is of particularly grounds management?

In Sweden, we have long seen the development of facility management firms and how they grow through mergers and acquisitions instead of growing the normal way, through building reputation and relations, loads of hard work and a genuine mission for developing the living, green On-stage surfaces into an out-door environment filled with activities, re-creation and experiences.

Sure, Landscapers, are also both keen on building and performing excellent functionality on back-stage surfaces where low-cost installation and maintenance goes hand in hand and they are most willing to find cost-efficient solutions for cleaning and maintaining all green surfaces, but primarily the Landscape Industry is The Defender and The Innovator of Building with green materials for both a sustainable and enjoyable future for Mother Nature.

Markservice in Swedish means integrated grounds services and that is also part of the name of the leading independent Landscape contractor in Sweden.

With more than 20 local offices around Sweden, from north to south, they manage to succeed extremely well by focusing on the Grounds Management as a entity and instead of diversifying the business into all kinds of facility services, they offer a complete solution for all professional outdoor services ranging from design and installation to maintenance and renovation with a true green commitment from the top leadership down to the landscape gardeners, technicians and machine operators in the field.

Also when it comes to staffing they take a different position from the facility services, when their own staff capacity is not enough they dont just lease workers from an agency or so, which often is the case, but they try seriously to subcontract or temporarily hire other qualified green professionals, namely the Farmers, the men and women who keeps our landscape open, have a good common sense and knowledge of working down to earth and a genuine feeling for plants and nature that almost seems to be streaming through their blood.

Those working as subcontractors or helping them staffing the contracts, they even have a real, substantial influence over the entire organization as they, how should I put it, partly own the company. Indeed, it is a new idea for successful grounds management!

It is refreshing to see a new, strong actor, though still an independent, pure Landscaping company, fast forming their men and women into line, and not only do they take up the fight with the cleaning business but they lead the way on a national scale while still remaining outdoor professionals.

So if you fear the competition from the ever growing multinational giants, let there be no doubt that it is possible to grow and become number 1 without offering catering or dry-cleaning to your customers. Just do it the natural way, work with green professionals all the way. How do you find those substantial numbers of men and women to keep up the growth and maintain competence and working spirit? Literally in the field... Many farmers need side works or may even be ready to quit farming and go fulltime into our part of the Green world. Thats how!

With the right basic skill, professional training and a true committed overall leadership it can go sky high. It isnt rocket science you know, just pure common sense set into a the right framework.

The apparent availability of wealth draw so many to the Internet, its reminiscent of the days of the California Gold Rush. Not so different from that distant past most get disheartened in their quest of making money online. They believe just about everything they see online. With the plethora of available e-Books claiming to have the secrets of striking it rich, they end up spending much more than necessary. The result is more than often information overload with no clear path of where they are going, except maybe onto the next e-Book.

These individuals just want to know how to make money online and how to do it now. There are of course many ways to make money on the Internet, after all it is the worlds largest market place. You need to devise a plan; one can either sell their own product/services or simply sell someone elses. The vast majority of individuals would fall into the second category. Its called affiliate marketing and once done correctly this is where you can strike gold.

As an affiliate you can start making money almost immediately. Theres no inventory to keep, no having to deal with customers and you dont even need your own website. What can be better than that?

This is how it works: first you have to sign up to be an affiliate with the company(s) of you choice for the products you want to promote. This URL leads back to their sales page where any purchases made by visitors will earn you your commission, either a percentage or a flat fee. Tens of thousands of people earn a living this way and free themselves from their regular jobs.

Promote your products! Potential buyers arent just going to pull your affiliate links out of mid air. Now you have products that you can sell thats only half the battle. The second and most critical is to drive traffic to the site(s) using your affiliate URL.

There are several ways to promote your affiliate links, of which I will briefly mention a few. Paid Ads is really the best form of promoting, using search engine pay-per-click on Google, Yahoo etc. For free traffic you can write a blog and include your affiliate link. Write and submit articles on topics youre comfortable with and include your link in the bio box. You can also have someone write for you, a Ghost Writer. Join forums and put your link in your profile or signature area, so whenever you make a post your link gets out there. If youre looking for financial freedom, look no further than affiliate marketing.

Is God Part of Your Marketing Strategy? Part 1

Is this a stupid question? Absolutely not, the reason God MUST become part of your business is widely apparent, but not always practiced by new business owners. The fact that God is key to your success as a business owner can be demonstrated by revealing the fact that the vast majority of successful entrepreneurs' business success is linked to their individual beliefs in God. When I got started marketing on the Internet, God was not part of my business and did not play a large part in my life either. Not surprisingly I struggled and nearly quit my home based business. I was in business to get rich, not to help people. However, since then, as I have pursued and become more successful in various high income business opportunities, God has become more and more prevalent in my work and life. In my relationships with highly successful Internet business owners (my personal mentors) a common thread has become apparent that each of these individuals, without exception, has an unshakable belief in God. Why is this? What is it that makes these highly successful people believe in God and how can your own beliefs help you become successful in business and life too? What role does God play to help you become successful running your own business? I'd like to explore this common thread and give you some easily applicable techniques to integrate faith into your business strategy without being bombastic or fanatical.

Why would you want to integrate God into your business strategy anyway? It's simple. Success only truly comes when you work from your soul. William Blake, the English poet and artist says, "I myself do nothing. The Holy Spirit accomplishes all through me." If you can begin to see your personal creativity as God's voice speaking through you, you will be a giant step closer to seeing your business explode. If you can train yourself to organize your business and spark creative ideas for your business through the conception of God prodding you on and driving you toward loftier goals and accomplishments than you ever dreamed possible. This has been called many things including "divine purpose." The poet Dylan Thomas provides an excellent definition of "divine purpose" that we can use, "the force that through the green fuse drives the flower." Do you think the flower has any concept of what it's ultimate goal in life is? Do you? Does the flower stop growing just because it doesnt have the perfect amount of water or sunlight? Are you going to stop pursuing your purpose just because you are struggling in your business or your life? If you are not pursuing your true aspirations of being a highly successful business owner, or you are a business owner who is constantly searching for a new EASY way to make money on the Internet, you are NOT listening to God or your "ultimate purpose." BUSINESS SUCCESS IS NOT EASY. You must use your common sense here. Why do you think 98% of home businesses never make one red cent? Because they are marketing the wrong product? No! If you are marketing your business the right way you can sell sand to a camel and have hundreds of customers lining up to buy again and again. Home based business owners fail because they don't receive the right training and mentorship to run a highly successful business, they lose their commitment and they quit. The keys to your business success are:

1. Integrate God Into Your Business Strategy.

2. Find a Support System. Seek Out Mentors and Colleagues Who Encourage and Support You to Achieve Your Goals. Find People Who Have Attained a Level of Success that You Hope To Replicate and Model Your Business Strategy After Theirs.

3. Stay Motivated and Committed to Your "Divine Purpose" in Business.

The formula to success is simple and intuitive when you break it down. If you can turn your business over to Gods proven desire to see you succeed and can trust in a higher power to guide you along your path to business success, you will have hurdled the biggest obstacle that most new business owners face: the temptation to quit their business when confronted by difficulties, setbacks (i.e. lack of results). If you can simply believe in your "divine purpose" your business is no longer yours to quit, it is God's; you have been put in charge of your business not simply by and for your self, but to fulfill the will of God's plan for you and desire to see you succeed. If you can begin to feel God in your everyday business activities, hardships will never cause you to doubt your ultimate goal, setbacks will only strengthen your resolve, and small successes will only prod you to achieve more.

Entrepreneurs are a different sort of folk. Though they tend to be driven and skilled workers, entrepreneurs don't tend to make the best employees because they are constantly looking for better ways to do things and solve the problems presented to them by their jobs. Translate your feelings of dissatisfaction in your job to a mind-set that God is telling you that there are bigger plans for you. More on God's role in your business strategy in next weeks article. Let me leave you with a quote from The Work of The Chariot: "When a Man Takes One Step Toward God. God Takes More Steps Toward That Man Than There Are Sands in the World's of Time." Take that step in your business strategy this week and see how your life changes.

Six Questions That Produce Successful Web Advertising

You would think that everyone in business would be able to tell you what they do and why you should be doing business with them; unfortunately the sad truth is many business executives can't. In fact one of the biggest problems in designing websites has always been getting appropriate raw material that can be turned into meaningful presentations: a handful of badly written brochures and a few out-of-date photographs are not going to make much of an impression.

And now that the Web has involved into a sophisticated communication platform, able to deliver audio and video content, the problem has become even worse; not only do websites need to deliver appropriate copy and image content, they need to present audio dialog and video performances that demonstrate how products and services improve the business or personal lives of website visitors.

As a company we are good at what we do, we can turn the mundane into the memorable but we can't do it if clients don't know or can't express their own marketing story, or are unwilling to allow their multimedia advisor to develop that story for them.

At the heart of the problem is fear, fear of making a definitive statement, declaring loud and clear what you do, and why anyone should care. It's no longer good enough to apply technical solutions to marketing problems: you are not going to engage your audience with SEO, XML, CSS, or PHP. You must have a story to tell and you can't be afraid to tell it as boldly as you can.

Do You Know Who You Are and What You Really Do?

We know who we are and what we do: we deliver our message knowing that some people are just not going to buy into what we have to say, but those that do get it, really get it, and they are our potential clients. As far as the others are concerned, well, there's lots of business for everybody, and nobody is going to get it all.

You can't be afraid to loose a customer you never had in the first place. In our case our job is clear: we deliver marketing stories using Web-video and audio in memorable Web-presentations. We are not afraid to tell clients that they need multimedia, and that an over dependence on search engine optimization or any other technical answer is a mistake - a big mistake.

Are You Doing All You Can To Attract Business?

There are many methods that can be employed to drive appropriate traffic to your site: search engine optimization is only one. Have you written and published articles and advice on what you do, have you created a blog or a MySpace page to create a community of interest, or have you issued press releases on new developments and product releases? If you're relying solely on search engine optimization as a substitute for marketing, you are not doing everything you can to attract new business.

Even if your search engine tactics are attracting large numbers of visitors to your site, what is your conversion rate, how long are people staying on your site, and do you have enough compelling content to get them to come back?

If you're in the business of selling banner and text ads on your site, if that is how you make your living, then lots of random traffic may serve your purpose; but if you are in the business of providing something useful to people, then you better pay more attention to what your visitors see once they arrive on your site. After all, all the traffic in the world is useless if those visitors don't get your message. It all starts with the message, so what's your message?

What's Your Story?

Crafting your marketing story is not as easy as it sounds, and you may have to let go of some outdated thinking in order to bring your story to life.

Web-videos are not feature films or even viral videos intended to show how clever you are. You are making a commercial: special effects may be cool but they are not a substitute for a finely crafted script delivered by a professional performer.

Websites Don't Close Sales, People Close Sales

Web-videos are designed to make a statement: "this is who we are, and this is what we do, so contact us to find out how we can change your life." Websites create leads, not sales; so don't expect your Web-video to make the sale, that's your job.

Now you know the purpose of your website presentation, it is time to figure out what you want to say. Below are a series of questions that will help you develop your marketing story.

1. How will your product or service change your customer?

All stories or marketing messages have to do with change: a cosmetic company provides change from plain to beautiful, from self-doubt to self-confidence. A vitamin supplement supplier provides change from poor health to good health, from sluggish to vitality. A self-help motivational program provides change from defeat to victory, from depression to wellbeing, and so on.

All good marketing stories highlight the change that your audience wants to make in their business or personal lives. Go deeper than the obvious look for the psychological, emotional, cognitive or spiritual change your company delivers.

All successful campaigns are about change. People who are satisfied with their work and life aren't motivated to be customers; you want to target people who are motivated, people who want to be better, stronger, smarter, prettier, healthier, and richer; people who want more out of work and more out of life.

If your audience isn't motivated to change and if your product or service can't deliver that change, then you're wasting your time and your money.

2. Is what you have to say different?

If you are saying the same thing, the same way as your competition, you're in trouble. You must differentiate yourself somehow; you must standout. Your product or service must provide something different. The world is full of 'me-to' companies, businesses that do the same thing as dozens of other businesses. You must find that unique something in what you offer that makes you different; that says you are not a follower but a leader.

If your product or service is substantially the same as your competitors, perhaps you should market it differently, or maybe you should concentrate on the 'High Concept' need it delivers, rather than the standard 'same-old-same-old' that everyone else is touting.

Which one of 'Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs' does your product or service fulfill: physical, safety, social, self-esteem, aesthetic, cognitive, or self-actualization? Chances are your competition has completely ignored the psychological and emotional marketing angle and is focusing on specifications and features that have little to do with why people really choose one product over another.

3. Do you know how to tell your story?

You must have more than a story to tell or a message to deliver; you must know how to tell it. Your marketing should create a recognizable corporate image that establishes a unique identity in the mind of your audience. If your audience sees no difference between you and the competition then you become interchangeable.

Apple didn't capture the lion's share of the MP3 market just because their product is arguable better than everyone else's, they did because iPods are more than MP3 players, they are a life-style choice, clearly delineated in commercials and advertising.

4. Can you say it boldly?

The meek may inherit the earth, but if they're in business, they'll probably go broke. If you got something to say, SAY IT, and say loud and clear. There are just too many companies, too many websites, too many advertisements, and too much everything to expect people to pay any attention to you if you are afraid to stand up and be noticed. Go boldly or don't go at all.

5. Who is your target audience?

Decide who you want to target and what motivates them; then design your website, videos, and advertising campaigns to trigger every hot button motivating message you can. Develop your message so it speaks directly to that audience.

Your message must have purpose, be focused and concise, and deliver a clear impression of identity. This means you can't be all things to all people. By focusing on a clear audience with a precise message you may even have a better chance of capturing non targeted audiences: the fact that Apple iPod commercials are aimed at a hip young audience has not stopped Apple from capturing MP3 market share across all demographic profiles.

6. Can you take the heat?

Last but not least, do you have what it takes to tell your story in a way that people will remember? Are you prepared to deliver your message in the boldest, most audacious manner you can? Are you ready to give up on none productive audiences and concentrate on those motivated to say yes to your message? Are you able to ignore the odd complaint or nasty email objecting to your cutting-edge approach? Are you ready for the Web-video revolution?

Affiliate Marketing: Making Money Finding Clients!

As a business owner, Bill had a good thing happening. He was able to run his store and run it well. He had customers that would even come from quite a ways away because they liked the products and the services that he provided. But, since he was only one person, he didn't want to really expand with other stores. He liked being able to go home to his family and not worry about a lot of other employees.

Yet, it would be nice to be able to get his product to others, wouldn't it? Bill knew he would have more customers if he could get his business online and then promote it. But, he knew nothing of how to do that. The last thing that he wanted to do was spend money advertising his company only to not make anything off of it.

Bill wanted to be able to retire one day and give his children the ability to have a business that was already stable so he decided to try his hand at developing a website. With a little help from his son, he learned that there were people out there that would work for him to promote his website. All he had to do was to hire them and only pay them when people came to the site to buy a product.

These affiliate marketers did all of the work for him. They brought people to his website where his products did all of the talking. And, he paid them for bringing the customers. Soon, they came back on their own and his business grew well beyond his hopes.

Fred was one of the affiliate marketers that worked with Bill. He created a website that was geared at promoting Bill's and made a good amount of income off of just this one site. He brought the customers and Bill paid him to do so.

Affiliate marketing is one of the most sought after types of internet marketing. For those that are looking to get in, the process is simple. Advertise for a company and bring clients to them. If it is just that simple, though, more people would be after this highly profitable game. In affiliate marketing of any type, there is some work that needs to be done to make it successful. For that reason, understanding just what affiliate marketing is and how it works is how you'll know if this is the right place for you to be in.

What Is Affiliate Marketing?

The job of an individual in this business is to promote web businesses like Bill's. The affiliate marketer is then rewarded for every visitor that is brought to the site because of what he did to promote it. You may be promoting for subscribers for services. You may be promoting for customers who will make purchases. Or, you may be compensated just for having the individuals make it to the right web page. In any case, affiliate marketing is set up to be that of a finder's fee situation because you are bringing new businesses to the client.

Some terms to know:

Affiliate: An affiliate is an individual that is affiliated with a company to help promote the company.

Marketing: Is the act of promoting a website or product.

Affiliate marketing: Promoting of a website, product or service through affiliates as opposed to paying for and placing the advertising yourself.

Affiliate marketer: An individual that does the marketing for the company.

Compensation for affiliate marketing ranges in how it is provided. There are three main types of payment structures available.

a. Pay Per Lead: In this scenario, the affiliate marketer is paid based on the individuals that they get to register or subscribe to the site's product or service.
b. Pay Per Click: In this method of compensation, the company will determine a set rate to pay based on each time that a new client visits the website.
c. Pay Per Sale: In this case, the affiliate marketer will be paid based on the amount of sales made from the purchase of a client that is attracted to the website. This is a commission based program.

The Benefits

From the aspect of being the affiliate marketer, you can make money virtually anytime of the day and night when your sales medium works. Whatever you do to make sure that the clients click through to the buyer's website, you'll be able to be compensated for that. Another benefit is the fact that there are many affiliate programs out there being run. Bill's small business is nothing compared to the larger companies out there. One of the largest that runs its own affiliate program is that of Amazon.com.

On the other hand, businesses like to use these set ups and are willing to provide the opportunity because nothing is paid for until it is realized. They pay only when you give them the results of clients to the site. Bill liked this, of course, because he knew he wasn't wasting his advertising dollars.

The Cons Of Affiliate Marketing

Like any other money making opportunity, it is important for you to understand that you may need to invest. Often, the affiliate marketer will need to invest in a website to attract visitors to and in advertising and marketing. For some individuals, the plan is to develop one website that is a launching pad for several affiliate marketing campaigns.

For example, if the affiliate marketer wishes to tap into the world of credit card affiliate programs, he or she will design a website that provides key information about credit cards. They will be able to link the website to the official websites of the credit card companies. By luring customers in with quality information on credit cards, the potential customer will click on the banner ads or links provided to take them to the official site to sign up.

But, affiliate marketing is not that simple. You will need to invest in providing good quality information. You will need to furnish your content yourself or hire a professional. Then, you'll need to get customers to your site. To do this, some affiliate marketers use search engine optimization and article directories while others pay to have their website listed as an advertiser on search pages.

Is There Money Out There?

It may seem that you are putting quite a bit of money into this business, but in fact, affiliate marketing can be a good way to make decent money. The amount can range from just a few dollars to quite a bit. It all comes from the knowledge that you have or obtain and the work and dedication you put into the task. Affiliate marketing has the potential to make a decent income. You help Bill and he pays you to do so. Both win in the game of affiliate marketing.
